Variety, they say, is the spice of life. Choice is a good thing. But how do you make a sensible choice when trying to select a key member for your pharmacy team?
In the pharmacy recruitment sector there are many agencies that companies can choose to work with. How do you know that the agency you are working with is reputable and upholding professional standards in recruitment practice?
Whilst every agency has to work in accordance with the employment regulations, this does not guarantee that professional standards are being maintained. The Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) is an independent body that was established to promote and encourage professional standards in recruitment practice. Membership is voluntary.
Upon becoming a member an agency will adhere to the REC Code of professional practice which sets out 10 clear principles that members must follow. The REC offers specialist divisions to niche sectors of the recruitment market such as the REC Medical for the health recruitment market.
We feel this is extremely important to Simply Health Recruitment as it demonstrates to our clients and candidates our commitment to best recruitment practice. That we conduct pharmacy recruitment legally, ethically and to the highest standards. Giving reassurance to both clients and candidates searching for pharmacist jobs that we add real value to the process.
To put it another way, would you book a holiday with a company that isn’t ABTA/ATOL protected? So why risk your company’s reputation and professional standing with a recruitment company, who isn’t voluntarily regulated?
